ProtoAir Gateway is a versatile, multi-protocol communications gateway designed to seamlessly integrate with building control and energy management systems. It is compatible with all AERCO boilers, water heaters*, and electronically controlled indirect systems, and it is ideal for a wide range of settings, including commercial buildings, industrial facilities, and institutional environments.
ProtoAir Gateway can support optimized energy usage and reduce costs. It offers real-time performance monitoring and remote access capabilities for proactive maintenance and minimal downtime. Additionally, its seamless integration with an existing BAS simplifies upgrades and enhances overall system performance.
ProtoAir Gateway integrates with BACnet® IP, BACnet MS/TP, Johnson Controls Metasys N2 systems, Modbus TCP/IP, and Modbus RTU.
Features and Benefits
- Wide Compatibility: Supports boilers or water heaters with an Edge or C-More controller, as well as AERCO’s Modulex EXT boilers, AM Series boilers and water heaters, SmartPlates, and electronically controlled indirect water heaters.
- Comprehensive Control: Manage up to 16 units per gateway in sequenced heating or hot water plants. Control points include set point, fire rate, outlet temperature, unit status, run cycles, and run hours.
- Auto Discovery: Automatically detects RS-485 supported devices, allowing up to 32 AERCO nodes to be connected through a single gateway.
- Reliable Performance: Non-volatile memory retains point mappings and programs even in the event of power loss.
- User-Friendly Configuration: Connect to the ProtoAir network via Wi-Fi and access the web configurator through a browser to set protocols and other configuration parameters.
- Easy Installation: Effortlessly mount ProtoAir using the included DIN rail bracket on the back of the unit, fitting directly into the communications control panel.
