AERCO expands its Sequoia high-voltage electrode hot water boilers series with the introduction of the Sequoia J and Sequoia S models for large commercial and industrial applications. The Sequoia J and Sequoia S are clean, efficient alternatives to traditional fossil fuel boilers. They convert nearly 100% of electrical energy into steam with zero combustion emissions to reduce the carbon footprint, helping facilities meet increasingly strict environmental standards. Both boilers were also designed with safety in mind, complete with a pressure-rated vessel, grounded cage, and ASME-certified safety valves.
Sequoia J: High-voltage Jet-type Electrode Steam Boiler
Sequoia J is a high-voltage jet-type electrode steam boiler that is available in models from 6 MW to 70 MW. It delivers rapid, reliable steam at pressures from 75 psig to 500 psig and capacities up to 270,000 lb./hr. Its compact vertical design and advanced electrode jet technology ensure powerful performance in a smaller footprint. Operating at up to 99.9% electrical-to-steam efficiency, Sequoia J connects directly to high-voltage distribution without step-down transformers, reducing installation cost and complexity. With fast ramp-up times, minimal maintenance, and safe, combustion-free operation, Sequoia J is a future-ready solution for clean energy transition.
Sequoia S: Immersed Electrode Steam Boiler
Available in capacities from 2 MW to 70 MW, the Sequoia S operates at up to 99.5% electrical-to-steam efficiency. A rugged, compact pressure vessel houses water-cooled electrodes that deliver rapid steam generation, reaching full output as quickly as 30–40 minutes from a cold start or 1 minute from a hot start. Ideal for facilities with steady steam loads, Sequoia S combines high efficiency, a 10:1 turndown ratio, and simplified installation for a seamless path toward sustainability and lower operational costs.
Integrated Controls for Smart Operation
Each Sequoia boiler is designed with a standalone, factory-programmed PLC control panel featuring a touchscreen HMI. The system provides full capacity tracking, safety interlocks, water level control, remote monitoring options, and data reporting so operators have complete visibility and peace of mind.
