AERCO is proud to have partnered with the U.S. Navy for more than 60 years and prouder still to have our SINE (Semi-Instantaneous Navy Electric) water heaters on board their newest ship, the USS Gerald R. Ford. The ship is named after the 38th President of the United States, Gerald Ford, whose World War II naval service included combat duty aboard the light aircraft carrier Monterey in the Pacific Theater. The USS Gerald R. Ford is the lead ship of her class of United States Navy aircraft supercarriers (the SINE water heater will also be on board the second aircraft carrier in the Ford Class, John F. Kennedy (CVN 79), which is currently under construction).
The USS Gerald R. Ford was commissioned Saturday, July 22.
