The United States Green Building Council was established to create standards for sustainable building design; more specifically the LEED Green Building Rating System. LEED is a certification system that deals with the environmental performance of buildings based on overall characteristics of a project including:

• Water Efficiency
• Energy and Atmosphere
• Materials and Resources
• Indoor Environmental Quality
• Innovation and Design Practices

Although the USGBC does not LEED-certify individual products, we as a manufacturer are frequently asked by engineers to demonstrate how our products compliment green building projects.
