Northvale, NJ (July 30, 2003) — AERCO International, Inc., a leading supplier of commercial boilers and water heating products, is celebrating the 15th anniversary of its KC1000 high-efficiency, gas-fired boilers and water heaters. While the installations vary from schools and medical centers to federal facilities and community developments, the cost efficiency and reliable performance of the KC1000 family is a constant.

AERCO unveiled an innovative modulating and condensing gas-fired design when it introduced the KC1000 family in 1988. In the 15 years since its introduction, condensing and modulating technology - as it contributes to energy efficiency - has been adopted throughout the industry. Fifteen years later, the scores of first-generation KC1000 units still in the field attest to the life span and reliability of the high-efficiency category.

One of the first installations of the KC1000 was in the San Francisco Federal Reserve Bank. That boiler, Model #8, is still operating today. Other installations include elementary schools, medical centers, correctional facilities and industrial buildings across the country.

AERCO’s natural gas- and propane-fired KC1000 boilers and water heaters are energy efficient, quiet and cost-effective to operate in commercial and industrial environments.

A unique condensing design eliminates secondary piping, and the KC1000’s 14:1 modulation supports +/-2°F temperature control to achieve 95% seasonal efficiency in the boiler, and +/-4°F temperature control to achieve 93% to 99% efficiency in the water heater. Each one-million-BTU unit occupies a 78”H x 22”W x 57”D footprint and maximizes venting flexibility.

Both the KC1000 boiler and water heater feature easy-to-use advanced control software that integrates with EMS systems and can be accessed remotely. The performance of the KC1000 boiler and water heater makes them ideal solutions for load sharing or combination domestic water/boiler plant configurations.
